Drupal Project Planning
The key to any project's success is in the planning. No matter how large or small, we believe the best way to build exceptional websites is to start by creating a set of documentation that clearly outlines requirements at a technical level.
As well as providing the developers and designers with a technical understanding of your site's architecture and a blueprint to work from (always a good idea), the documentation we create has added long-term value as intellectual property potential buyers or auditors would expect to see when valuing your business assets.
If you do not have the expertise to carry out this planning stage on your own, don't worry, we can do it for you. There is no single price for our project planning services, but we will quote on a case-by-case basis.
Our approach would be to hold a half-day workshop with all the stake-holders in your project, in your office, to drill down into the detail, ask you some questions about the feature set and understand exactly how you want things to work. We'll offer suggestions, but it's really about us capturing your vision at a granular level. You're the market experts after all.
Off the back of this workshop session we will create the following documentation:
- Functionality specification spreadsheet (.XLS)
A list of all the individual tasks your application needs to be able to do, broken down in to elements the developers can estimate time against - Wire-frames of the main site areas (.PDF or .JPEG)
Mock-ups of actual forms, pages and sections of your application, showing how things will be laid out (though without actual design) - Information architecture and navigation mind-maps (.PDF or .JPEG)
A visual overview of all the key features with detailed flow diagrams showing the proposed structure of your application, how people will traverse the website and how all the various elements work and link together - Plain English feature set document (.PDF)
A friendly version of the Functional specification spreadsheet, in words, explaining and describing how each feature of the site will function and how your site users will interact with it
Pricing depends entirely on the size and complexity of the website to be planned, so contact us for an estimate for your specific project.
