Eastern Promise For Economist Conferences

Economist Conferences Asia Following on from the immensely successful launch of the Economist Conferences UK website on Drupal, we were invited to carry out a similar project for the Economist Group in Asia. Working closely with their Hong Kong office, we were able to swiftly create and launch a calendar feature, similar to the calendar on the UK website but with some feature changes and a more user friendly, template-driven interface for adding content.
We were able to keep costs to a minimum, re-using elements of work already carried out for Economist Group when working on the UK website. We did this using the excellent Features module to package up elements of the UK site and move them to the new Asia site.
Other than that, things stayed largely the same. The result is a great showcase for all the events the Economist Conferences people are hosting all over Asia, and we're proud to say we built it.
